Precinct Committee Officer (PCO)

The office of PCO is reserved to Major Parties in Washington State. An elected PCO becomes a voting member of the County Central Committee (CCC), and elects representatives to the Party's State Central Committee (SCC).

A Precinct Committee Officer is voted into the office every even numbered year at the General Election.

Duties of the PCO

The Precinct Committee Officer (PCO) is the grassroots representative of the Democratic Party.

PCO's participate in Precinct Caucuses, District Caucuses and County Conventions.  They select candidates to fill vacated terms of elected offices, that had been held by the Party.

PCO's also encourage support for Democratic Party candidates and causes through voter registration and campaign work.

To become a PCO, contact your legislative district or county party. The relevant contacts could be made through the links below based on the county or district you live in.
